San Francisco Aquarium Society (SFAS)
Horticultural Award Program (HAP)
PURPOSE:
To recognize the accomplishments of the hobbyist who intentionally propagate aquatic plants and to
distribute their plants in SFAS Donations and Auctions. Records of each participant’s
accomplishments on an individual and in a club-wide level will be maintained. Participation in the HAP
should spread the enjoyment of planted aquariums throughout the SFAS Membership.
HAP RULES:
1. Any current SFAS member may participate in the HAP.
2. Records will be kept on individual and cumulative plant species propagated and point values
assigned.
3. Credit for a valid propagation will be given for a minimum entry of: 3 rosette plants, 6 stems, 3 @ 1
½” Rhizomes, 3 bulbs, ¼ C moss, 1 T liverwort, ¼ C floaters and completion of the HAP form. Plants
can be bagged separately and should be labeled for Auction or donation at the same meeting.
