LITTLE SPACE AND SHORT ON TIME? YOU CAN STILL BUILD A GREAT FISH ROOM!

Gianne Souza is a high school Biology teacher in San Francisco. Prior to finding her passion in secondary science education, she studied host immune responses during her Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from University of California, San Francisco. During her graduate studies, Gianne started breeding show bettas, wild bettas, killifish, and other small beautiful “ditch fish” in her tiny San Francisco apartment. This hobby spawned the creation of her YouTube channel Inglorious Bettas, which currently has over 10,000 subscribers and over a million views. Her YouTube channel features fish keeping tutorials, fish show coverage, and much more. Her companion website, www.ingloriousbettas.com, serves as a dedicated resource for keeping, breeding, and showing bettas and similar fish. Gianne is also an official International Betta Congress Judge and has served in multiple shows in the United States, Germany, and Mexico. She is a member of the California Betta Society, International Betta Congress, and the American Killifish Association.
It’s easy to contract MTS (Multiple Tank Syndrome). However, limited space and time tend to restrict how much one can enjoy the hobby. Designing a smart fish room that minimizes tank maintenance and space is one way to fit fishkeeping into a busy schedule.
