Welcome to SFAS's Breeder and Horticultural Award Programs (BAP/HAP)
The BAP (Breeder Award Program) and HAP (Horticulturist Award Program) aim
to inspire aquarists of all ages and experience levels to successfully breed fish
and propagate aquatic plants in their home tanks. Participating in these programs
is not only enjoyable, but also contributes to the ongoing preservation of many
aquatic species.
At the end of each year, SFAS recognizes top contributors by presenting awards
for “Breeder of the Year,” “Horticulturist of the Year,” and “Rookie of the Year,”
based on the total Points earned throughout the season. Group and Family
Points are assigned by species on the AWARD PROGRAM pages.
