BREEDERS AWARD PROGRAM

BAP RULES

OBJECTIVE:
To foster interests in keeping and breeding aquarium fishes

PARTICIPATION:
Members and family minors of SFAS in good standing may participate.

PROGRAM:
The SFAS Board of Directors will appoint a program manager for this project.

SFAS will reimburse program participants the costs (up to $25.00 for each entry) for acquiring aquarium fishes or invertebrates resulting in a successful breeding and rearing of the species. Photo copy of receipt(s) should accompany entry registration.

REIMBURSEMENT QUALIFICATIONS:
Submitting and donating a minimum of 3 bags of fry (4 individuals in each
Bag) of the registered entry as evidence of a successful spawning effort. Fry
should be at least ¾” in length or at discretion of program manager.

Submission of fry should be within 9 months of acquisition as evidenced on
dated receipt(s) shown on day of entry registration.

Each member participant can have two concurrent entries in at any time
while the program is in progress.

Each member participant is limited to only one entry per fish category such as
live-bearers, killifishes, tetras, catfishes…. etc. The objective is to encourage
participants to work with different species of various difficulties. Accepting an entry as a qualifying fish category is at the sole discretion of the program manager.

AWARDS:
All program participants will be named and recognized at the SFAS annual Christmas general meeting. Their names will be entered into a program participant exclusive drawing for a prize valued up to $100.00.

The program participant with the highest number of successful breeding entries during a membership year will be given one free annual membership for the next membership renewal.
